I’m Jim, and this is my first attempt at a blog, so it is all new to me. I buy and sell antiques and vintage collectibles, and have for over 40 years. Most of the business over that period was setting up and selling at flea markets and shows, mostly in the Midwest. I sell now on Ebay and jmilamdeal is my Ebay user name there, with my store named Lord of The Paper. I also have a shop on Etsy called Vintage Paper Trail, because these days I deal quite a bit in old paper items of all kinds: vintage labels ( cigar box, soda, beer, crate, can, package, and miscellaneous ),letters, invoices, old checks, stocks, post cards, prints, ads, sheet music, miscellaneous vintage paper and old store and warehouse stock. Most all of these items are those with interesting graphics that have a special appeal because in the 1940’s and earlier, they sold items partly due to the graphics on the label, some being quite nice and colorful. I also buy and sell other things, but specialize in the paper. I’m a sucker for a good deal, but am a little more selective these days, partly due to space confines, but also because over time experience show what sells and what doesn’t.
I have not as yet, narrowed down what to blog about. I am married, have 4 grown children with 2 yet at home, am a business owner and interested in successful enterprise, am interested in healthy living ( mind, body & spirit ), politics, freedom from government oppression, and a number of other topics, so I will probably, in the beginning at least, touch on a variety of things.
